Rotary International, the world’s first service club, is made up of 1.2 million members, in over 33,000 clubs in more than 200 countries. The name Rotary comes from the fact that the founders in 1905, rotated meetings between their Chicago, IL, businesses to acquaint themselves with each other.

All Rotary clubs share a key mission: to serve their community and those in need throughout the world. Members form a global network of business, professional and community leaders. Every Rotarian is able to invite guests to the weekly meetings to share in fellowship, service and knowledge. Attendance is required at half the meetings, and members are encouraged to attend at any club across the globe.

The Rotary Club of Princeton (Club Number 2162) was chartered on October 14, 1980 with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Elk River, and is part of District 5960. Over the past 30 years the club has supported a number of local projects, including Kinship, Girl and Boy Scouts, Princeton Pantry, Rum River Health Services, Princeton Fireworks, Local School Events, Youth Leadership Training at Camp Ryla and Camp Enterprise, Projects at local Parks, and Princeton College Scholarships
